You might be asking yourself, “Why are these strapping young lads standing in the neon glow of the Whataburger beacon at such a late hour?”
In short – after a short jaunt over to the Plano Relay for Life (sponsored by the good folks over at the American Cancer Society) it was discovered that we were far too loud for the neighbors two miles away from the event. A noise complaint made earlier in the night had scared the organizers of the event and they were unwilling to have us continue. Oh well, we were sagging the generator they had us on anyways.
Our conclusion?
Huzzah.
Until next time,
Douglas
We’ve changed a lot since the last photoshoot. Left to right: Ben Littlejohn, Chris Littlejohn, Will Conklin, Douglas Schadt.
There’s Criminal Shift. See you this summer.

Valentine’s Day is coming up, and you don’t have a date.
Trust me on this.
You don’t have a date.
Lucky for you, Criminal Shift has selflessly volunteered to be your date and distract you from the depressing reality that awaits on the other side of midnight. Your valentine’s day is going to ROCK.
“Why?” You might ask.
Criminal Shift has banded together (pun VERY intended) with Dallas-area bands Gaffney, Rin Tin Tin, and Due North to put on the most epic of benefit shows since Live Aid 1985. Best part? A $5 donation is your ticket. This donation will go directly to Catholic Relief (because they have a permenent base in Haiti and 90% of Haiti is Catholic…so it makes sense) and will help put Haiti back on it’s feet which it was so rudely rocked off of. In a way you could say we’re helping rock Haiti right back onto its feet. Oooooh the puns.

Show’s at 7pm (Criminal Shift’s on around 8pm) on February 14. That’s a Sunday. There’s some reason why there is no school the next day for most of us, yet I have forgotten it. Either way, we’ll be done early enough for you to go home and have sweet dreams, or for you to go away and party hard elsewhere.
The show is going to rock and we would REALLY appreciate seeing you there.
Thanks,
Douglas Schadt
Hey everyone. It’s been a while since I’ve updated so I figure it’s about time I sent out an update. Next weekend is a super important show for us and we’d really appreciate it if you could make it out.
Feb 14, 2010: “Love & Haiti” Benefit Show w/ Gaffney and Rin Tin Tin
Bishop Lynch High School
9750 Ferguson Road
Dallas, TX 75228-3891
7pm, Minimum $5 donation. All proceeds go to Catholic Relief.
Yes yes yes, I realize it’s a Sunday. You probably don’t have school the next day and we’re gonna try and get done early so if you do you can go to bed, or if you don’t you have plenty of time to party afterwards.
We will also be appearing at The Door Plano on March 6 (Saturday) w/ Thrift City, Rin Tin Tin, and Gaffney. It’s gonna be very very awesome.
I currently sit in the land of ice and snow, Indiana. It’s cold. See you this weekend.
Later,
Doug
We got a picture of us put on the Dallas Observer’s website this week…not sure about the print issue. Here’s a link: http://www.dallasobserver.com/slideshow/view/29104745/8.
For those who haven’t received an update since, we did not win at the House of Blues on Friday but we did have a great time and want to thank everyone who came out!
Thanks,
Doug
Finally figured out when we’re playing at house of blues tomorrow. our set is at 7:30, so be sure to come out and support.
Thanks,
Doug
Welcome to 2010. Here’s the last thing Criminal Shift did in 2009.
We’ve begun preparation for another release which should be out…sometime in 2010. Past that, we don’t know much.
